Job Description

The Cashier is responsible for handling all payment transactions accurately, managing the POS system, and ensuring smooth customer flow at the counter. This role includes processing orders, managing receipts, maintaining cash accuracy, and providing friendly customer service while supporting overall front-of-house operations.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Payment Handling

Process customer payments via cash, card, and e-wallet accurately. Issue receipts and ensure correct balance is returned. Handle refunds or voids according to restaurant policy. Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
B. Order Management

Take customer orders clearly and accurately using the POS system. Ensure orders are sent correctly to the kitchen. Confirm takeaway/pick-up orders are packed and correct before handover.
C. Customer Service

Greet customers politely at the counter. Provide menu information and recommendations if needed. Handle customer enquiries or direct them to supervisors when required. Maintain professional and friendly communication at all times.
D. Counter & Area Management

Keep cashier area clean, organized, and presentable. Restock counter items such as receipt rolls, bags, takeaway containers, etc. Ensure all POS equipment is functioning properly.
E. Reporting & Accuracy

Prepare end-of-shift cash count and report discrepancies immediately. Follow SOP for opening and closing cashier procedures. Maintain accurate records for daily sales reports.
F. Teamwork & Support

Coordinate with waiters and kitchen team for smooth service flow. Assist in handling takeaway rush or peak-hour crowd. Support front-of-house tasks when necessary.
3. REQUIREMENTS

Skills & Experience

Experience as a cashier in F&B or retail is an advantage. Basic POS knowledge (training provided). Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Good communication skills.
Attitude

Honest, responsible, and trustworthy. Friendly and customer-oriented. Able to work under pressure during peak hours. Punctual and disciplined.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
