We carry a broad range of products to make eating well and living well accessible for all our customers. As part of our vision to be the leading grocery store in our neighborhoods, you will be responsible for developing and executing buying strategies for a product category. As a Category Executive, you will have to aid in building relationships with key department leads and maintain long term vendor relationships to ensure smooth and successful implementations of strategies. Being a start-up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. Responsibilities: The main objective of the role is to: Identify and source products that meet the needs of our customers. Implement and execute category strategies to drive sales, profitability, improve product mix and quality to enhance overall customer experience. Collaborate with suppliers on products, pricing, promotions and availability. Assisting and managing multiple categories, including purchasing, ranging, and category management. Work closely with the operations team to ensure there is a strong understanding of category plans. Contribute to process improvement efforts. Collaborate in team projects and activities across the organization. Requirements Bachelors degree and minimum 1-2 years\' relevant experience. Experience in related retail environment is desirable but not required. Experience in retail, business development, marketing, sales or related field Strong Communication and Negotiating Skills High level of interpersonal, relationship management and team-working experience Fluent in English, Malay & Mandarin language. Able to start on a short notice be an added advantage.
