Category Manager (beauty/confectionary)

Job Description
An international multi-category retail client is seeking an experienced Category Management Manager to join its Kuala Lumpur office.Reporting to the Country Head, this role will focus on driving growth in beauty/personal care (skincare, makeup, fragrances) and confectionery/food categories.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies to enhance product offerings, pricing, and profitability
- Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and present insights to the Asia regional team
- Collaborate with regional marketing and inventory teams to align promotions and stock strategies
- Build and manage strong vendor relationships for strategic partnerships
- Lead and mentor the category management team while providing guidance to inventory teams
- Monitor performance metrics and refine strategies based on data-driven insights
- 5+ years of category management experience in beauty and/or food/confectionery within the retail industry
- Strong analytical skills with a results-driven approach
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
