About the role

We are looking for a talented intern to join our Category team, as part of the Project Management community. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in managing a small project, that will add significant value to the way we work, adding consistency and efficiency in our day-to-day operations. The intern will be responsible for developing a consistent and standardised approach to the key documents and processes used day-to-day by the PM team, as Phase 1, giving them the opportunity to learn through this experience, some of the basic Project Management principles, as well as enhancing their communication and influencing skills. Phase 2 will comprise of expanding these standards and documents across other Categories within Dyson SEA, building their relationships and networking beyond the Category you join but also forming a broader level of consistent and collaborative ways of working. The key roles will be?.

• Gathering information and data on current ways of working and process used by Project Managers and forming a context and problem statement to enable an action plan.
• Gain stakeholders buy-in on the action plan and form assignments of action owners.
• Implement the changes and set-up a guidance structure that ensures future Project Managers / New Starts have reference data and a framework, to tap into.
• Investigate further tools that can enhance and optimise the PM teams? efficiency, such a Power BI, MS365 MSP, etc and help develop basic level guides.

• Working towards a degree in engineering
• Knowledge of project management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Is organised and structured
• Has experienced organising activities or events, whether leading or being an active participant.
