Job Description

Job Summary:

The Chainman supports the Surveyor in carrying out land, topographic, and construction surveys by assisting with measurements, equipment handling, and field preparations. This role is essential in ensuring survey accuracy and smooth execution of site works.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist surveyors in field measurements, data collection, and setting out survey points. Handle, transport, and maintain survey equipment (chains, tapes, poles, tripods, etc.). Mark boundaries, reference points, and survey stations at site locations. Clear survey lines, paths, and working areas to prepare for measurements. Record survey readings, field notes, and sketches accurately. Support GPS and Total Station operations under surveyor guidance. Ensure all survey tools and equipment are in proper working condition. Follow safety procedures and site regulations during field activities. Assist in topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys. Carry out any other survey-related tasks as assigned by the Surveyor or Site Engineer.

Qualifications and Requirements:

SPM / Certificate in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent. Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of survey-related experience are encouraged to apply
