Position Summary
The purpose of a Channel Executive is to develop the Channel agenda within the business to support long term Channel Category growth and profitably increase market share.


A day in the life of a Channel Executive

  • Responsible for supporting Group Channel Manager Led to define overall priority channels, across category strategies based on shopper and customer understanding and requirements in line with overall market strategies.
  • Responsible for development of Category Channel plans in line with overall market strategies with the respective Commercial Development Managers. Develop key commercial propositions for specified category at the Channel level.
  • Responsible for the annual allocation of PTE Investment levels in the channels and the profitability of the channel with the objective to drive growth in the channel
  • Responsible for recommending actionable in-store solutions for the Channel overall recognizing Category/ subcategory specific requirements.
  • Drives implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions. (Example: Perfect Store)
  • Responsible for contributing channel inputs into the Integrated Commercial Planning process by identifying the key opportunities (incorporating shopper behavior in that channel, channel specific promotional learnings, competitor analysis) and proposing channel development programmes relevant to customers in that channel.
  • Responsible for reviewing pre and post evaluation of key channel development programmes (Example: Retailer Loyalty Scheme, Long Term Space Buy, Accelerated Growth Funds) is conducted and shared with all the stakeholders.
  • Responsible for working with Customer teams to define and develop appropriate channel & key customer plans as well as aligned with the overall channel strategy.



What will make you successful
  • Graduate with 3 - 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Trade Marketing or Sales. (Prefer managing high level stakeholders)
  • Degree in (Sales, Marketing, BA) or any relevant field
  • Good understanding on Channel and Commercial dynamics.
  • Good record of success in a customer (not limited to Key Accounts) facing role.
  • Understands customers and the field sales selling process.
  • Good communication skills and stake holder management.
