Job Scope

Responsible for the

operation, maintenance, and repair

of low-voltage (LV) electrical systems (<500VAC to 1,000V AC). To ensure all electrical systems comply with statutory safety requirements under the Energy Commission regulations.

Operate and maintain low voltage electrical installations, switchboards, panels, and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery and facilities. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations. Monitor energy consumption and propose measures to improve energy efficiency. Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs. Ensure compliance with Energy Commission and DOSH regulations. Coordinate with contractors and other technicians during electrical-related projects or outages. Respond to electrical emergencies and power failures. Report and rectify any unsafe electrical conditions. Perform standby duties, including responding to breakdowns after working hours if required.

Requirements

Chargeman AO Certificate (Competent Person License) issued by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission). Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or facilities management. Familiar with low-voltage systems, wiring regulations, and safety standards. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physically fit and willing to work on shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.
