1. Perform preventive and schedule maintenance for all HT and LV equipment and accessories.
2. Ensure that maintain, repairing, equipment and system are in compliance with applicable laws, codes and standards.
3. Responsible in the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of electrical wiring systems, air conditioning system, firefighting system as well as other building services.
4. Ensure new installation and maintenances are safe, correct and legal.
5. Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of air conditioning and fire system.
6. Oversee day to day operation and ensuring smooth operation of the hotel
7. Plan, implement and administer an energy management program by establishing energy reduction objectives, the maintenance of records and regular reporting of performance against these objectives.
8. Ensure the staff awareness of energy management within the property by conducting regular education and training programs on energy conservation and matters related to efficient operation of equipment in a cost-effective fashion.
9. Contribute to the hotel's profitability by ensuring the effective management of the buildings environmental controls and energy conservation systems. Evaluate, control and record energy usage and implement and upgrade energy conservation systems.
10. Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and fire codes by regularly reviewing policies and safety procedures. Ensure that any tests and inspections required on plant by statutory authorities are carried out as and when required and that all records and documentation associated with such tests and surveys are correctly kept and/or displayed. Ensure that the hotel fulfills all compliance requirements.
11. Ensure the effective operation of all the mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by implementing and managing a preventative maintenance program. Closely monitor the condition of the physical property and equipment by conducting continual inspections of the building. Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are in operation and regularly upgraded.
12. Contribute to a high standard of quality control within the hotel by actively participating in the hotel's Quality Assurance Program.
13. Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
14. Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
15. Perform any duties as may be directed from time to time by the Maintenance Manager
Qualifications & Requirements:-
1. Minimum with Chargeman A4 certificate and above. (Ideally is Chargeman 11KV)
2. At least a SPM/certificate/diploma in technical discipline or equivalent.
3. Knowledge in Electrical Supply Act, Electrical Regulation, IEE wiring regulation and etc.
4. Good command of spoken and written English
5. Able to work independently and meet deadlines
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills
7. Willingness to learn and take over new responsibilities and challenges.
