The Role

As a Chef de Partie for Pastry & Bakery section, you are responsible for supervising team members in the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen while working closely with the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef to deliver an excellent guest and team member experience.

  • Ensure all food preparation meets the required standards
  • Prepare and present high quality food and products
  • Supervise team members in the kitchen section
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
  • Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
  • Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure food products and ingredients are of a good quality and stored correctly
  • Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
  • Assist the Pastry Chef and Chief Baker in the training of all team members in compliance with the Company\'s procedures
  • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues to the relevant parties
  • Comply with the Company\'s security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
Talent Profile
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Patisserie or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of past working experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef role
  • Strong passion for the art of food design
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Ability and desire to motivating team members
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and creativity
  • Positive and outgoing attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to work on own or in teams
