Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our team at the central kitchen of Serai Group Sdn Bhd. As a Chef de Partie - Pastry, you will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries and desserts, ensuring consistency and excellence in our offerings. You will also collaborate closely with the R & D Chef to innovate and develop new pastry products.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and produce a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Supervise and coordinate the activities of pastry kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen. Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring adequate supplies of ingredients and materials. Collaborate with the Research and Development Chef to develop new recipes and menu items. Ensure that all products are prepared and presented to the highest quality standards. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications:



Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Chef de Partie - Pastry or in a similar role within a high-volume, high-quality kitchen environment. Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Patisserie, or a related field from a recognized institution. Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and ingredient properties. Proficiency in using professional kitchen equipment and tools. Demonstrated ability to create innovative and visually appealing pastries and desserts. Strong artistic skills and attention to detail. Proven experience in supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff. Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments. Comprehensive understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and food safety standards. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
