  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Malaysia cuisine and/or dessert preparation.
  • Knowledge of traditional Malaysia cooking techniques and presentation.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
  • Team player with good time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.
Tanggungjawab
Food Preparation & Cooking
  • Prepare, cook, and serve Malaysia dishes e.g., nasi lemak, laksa, rendang, mee goreng etc. and traditional desserts e.g., pengat, kuih-muih, cendol, serawa, etc.
  • Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency.
  • Adjust seasoning, taste, and presentation to meet quality expectations.
  • Ensure proper portioning and minimize food wastage.
Kitchen Operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify the manager for replenishment.
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and ensure they are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Follow daily prep schedules and complete production according to business demand.
Quality & Hygiene
  • Ensure all food is handled and prepared according to food safety and hygiene standards (based on MOH & Halal guidelines).
  • Label and store food properly to maintain freshness and avoid contamination.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate kitchen attire at all times.
Cost Control & Inventory
  • Monitor usage of raw materials and control wastage.
  • Assist in monthly stock count and inventory reporting.
  • Suggest ideas to improve efficiency or reduce costs without compromising quality.
Menu Development (Special Event)
  • Collaborate with management to introduce or improve traditional dessert and Malay menu items.
  • Participate in menu tastings and seasonal menu updates.
  • Provide feedback on customer preferences and food performance.
Teamwork & Supervision
  • Coordinate with kitchen assistants and service crew for smooth operations.
  • Train junior staff on recipes, hygiene, and kitchen standards.
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative working environment.
