Chemical Engineer II

Develop and design chemical manufacturing processes. You will apply the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to solve problems that involve the production or use of chemicals, fuel, drugs, food, and many other products. You will use your broad knowledge to help run experiments and tests to aid in the development of improved manufacturing procedures and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer will be assisting our customers with the commissioning and initial operation of new process units in Refinery/Petrochemicals plants.
  • The engineer will also assist with catalyst loadings and regenerations, troubleshooting existing units and re-starting revamped units
  • Prior knowledge of UOP Process technology in areas such as Aromatics/Detergents is required.
  • Matured skills in independent troubleshooting / problem resolution on UOP licensed units.
  • Understand customer needs & extend Service Support at site / remote for prompt issue closure ensuring adherence to Honeywell Process and Quality matrices.
  • Build, Develop & Sustain Customer relationships with effective Customer management.
  • Required travel 100% of the time anywhere across the globe.
  • Be available 24X7 for support during exigencies.
  • Possess fluent oral & written communications skills.
  • Identify prospects, conduct pre-sales site assessment, and develop them into firm leads.
  • HSE, commercial guidelines and all Honeywell Process compliance is must.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor\'s degree in chemical engineering
  • 4-5 years industry experience in refinery or petrochemical complex.

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to manage the extensive internal and external customer contact that the position demands.
  • Experience in commissioning, startup, operation, troubleshooting and optimization of refinery plants would be a plus.
  • The position requires significant travel and associated personal flexibility. Some trips can be planned, but ability to travel at short notice is a requirement.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Good problem solving and dispute resolution skills
  • Good computer software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Unisim or other process modeling experience
