Relevant to Biotechnology qualification with a Masters degree. Minimum 2-3 years teaching experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team player. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and abilities.

Teaching Duties

To teach on a range of daytime and evening programmes offered by the institution. To teach on programmes in other College service delivery areas as may be reasonably required. Tutorial and personal development work with a range of students. To contribute to the study support services offered at the Learning Centre. To prepare lesson plans for effective delivery of lectures and tutorials. To upload materials on the Learning Management System (LMS) in a timely manner. To plan and develop assignments and projects for students.

To conduct weekly sessions at the Learning Centre to facilitate group assignments or project.

To develop formative and summative assessment for the course and contribute to the exam bank.

Curriculum Development

Assist in the planning, design and development of new programmes. Conduct research on existing programmes in the market to inform the curriculum development team in the planning and design of new programmes. Works and assist the curriculum development team to order books and materials for instructional use. Conduct other duties assigned in relation to curriculum design and development.

Administrative Duties

Maintain student records and register. Photocopy handouts for class usage. Undertake other duties from time to time as the programme head requires. You shall invigilate examinations scheduled on weekdays, rest days or public holidays.

General

The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description for the post. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to posts may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
