JOB SCOPERole: Chief AccountantAL Maritime is a business unit within GM&T (Global Markets & Technologies). The activity is articulated around four main businesses: Global Helium, Global Rare Gases, Offshore Energies and Maritime Cryogenic Supply. It is a very international environment, managing multiple locations worldwide.As part of AL Maritime, Cryogenic Tank Services (CTS) is a Malaysian entity which was acquired in 2015. CTS specializes in cryogenic tank and equipment rental for the offshore and maritime industries as well as in cryogenic transport of molecules, and provides a full range of repair and testing services.CTS is looking to accelerate its expansion through key development segments. The Chief Accountant - Finance position is within CTS, based in Selangor and the key missions will be to monitor and improve upon the overall efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations in support of its internal stakeholders to meet CTSs growth ambitions in business through the following levers, among othersHow will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Supervise the accounting team on a daily basis;Monthly close, reviewing prepaid expenses, accruals and provisions, stock reconciliation, booking acquisitions and disposals of assets, posting monthly depreciation charge and ensuring accuracy;Monthly preparation of the financial statements, including preparing and reviewing all balance sheet schedules to ensure accuracy, and assist in profit & loss analysis by Business Units, with the assistance of the accounting team;Monthly computation of tax provisions, submission of tax estimate Form CP204 and CP204A and all tax related reporting in accordance with Section 107C of the Malaysian Income Tax Act, 1967;Assist Finance Manager in IRIS reporting;Assist to ensure effective internal controls and cash management, includes reconciliation of accounts, subledger with general ledger, and documenting policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility;Ensure compliance with delegation of authorities, segregation of duties on accounting related processes and Sapin II requirements;Assist in the yearly preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentation and ensure complete on a timely basis;Coordinate annual external audits;Participation in and provision of the necessary operational support for ERP-related initiatives;Support on an ad-hoc basis for any accounting related projects.JOB REQUIREMENTSKnowledge specific to the position

  • Strong accounting and financial analysis skills;
  • Commitment to uncompromising accuracy in data management;
  • Ability to conceptualize and assimilate data; strong analytical skills;
  • Disciplined and deadline-oriented;
  • Superior communication skills, English is mandatory, Malay, Mandarin are a plus;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other Google applications;
  • Experience with ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus;
  • A Bachelor\'s Degree - Accounting/Finance is preferred;
  • 5 - 10 years of applicable experience.
