About the Chief Governance and Sustainability Officer, Financial Services Role:
As the Chief Risk and Sustainability Officer, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the company\'s risk management strategies while championing sustainability initiatives. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in risk management, regulatory compliance, and a deep understanding of sustainability practices within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the organisation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a robust risk culture, fostering awareness and adherence to risk management practices
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to proactively address emerging risks and regulatory changes
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, working closely with legal and compliance teams
• Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks for risk and sustainability, providing regular updates to the executive leadership team and the board
• Lead the development and execution of the company\'s sustainability strategy, aligning with global best practices and industry standards
• Drive initiatives to enhance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, integrating sustainable practices into business operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed sustainability considerations into decision-making processes and product development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, industry associations, and other external stakeholders to stay informed of industry trends and best practices

To succeed in this Chief Governance and Sustainability Officer, Financial Services job, you will make and recommend strategic prioritisation and decision to translate complex risk and sustainability concepts into actionable plans.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 15 years\' experience in a senior leadership role within risk management, preferably in the insurance or banking industry
• Ability to align risk management strategies with the overall business strategy and objectives
• Experience in developing and managing risk budgets and ensuring efficient allocation of resources
• Proven leadership skills in building and managing high-performing risk management teams
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages risk awareness and accountability
• Commitment to continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and enhancing risk management processes and frameworks
• Implement best practices in risk management and adapt strategies to evolving business environments.
