Role Summary:

The COO oversees the university's day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance and excellence across academic and administrative functions. The role provides strategic leadership to align operations with institutional goals.

Oversee daily academic and administrative operations. Implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with higher education regulations. Support growth, innovation, and sustainability plans. Provide leadership to senior management teams.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Business Administration Management, Higher Education Administration or a related field (PhD preferred from top tier universities) Professional certifications in leadership, finance or operations management ( e.g., SPA, CFA, PMP) may be an advantage. 10-15 years of senior management experience in higher education large organisation or MNC's Proven track record in strategic planning financial management, campus operations and resource organisation. Knowledge of higher education policies, regulations, and governance structures (local and international) and experience working with MQA, MOHE, government agencies. Demonstrated leadership in organisational transformation, digitalisation and operational excellence. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align operations with the university's academic and research mission. Expertise in budgeting, financial sustainability, and revenue diversification (including partnerships, grants, and investments). Change management experience, particularly in modernizing universities for competitiveness. Knowledge of higher education policies, regulations, and governance structures (local and international).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
