The Chief Steward is responsible for managing and supervising the stewarding team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all kitchen and back-of-house areas. This role includes overseeing dishwashing operations, maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils, monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Chief Steward coordinates closely with the culinary and food & beverage departments to support daily operations, banquets, and events, playing a critical role in the overall efficiency and hygiene of the hotel's food service operations.
