Child Psychologist
to join our team in Sibu Town.
About Us
Talent Buddy is a certified child development center offering a wide range of multidisciplinary services including child psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), special education, early intervention programs (EIP) and play therapy.
We support children with:
Developmental delays
Autism
ADHD
GDD
Learning disorders (dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc.)
Intellectual disabilities
Emotional and behavioral challenges

Key Responsibilities
As a
Child Psychologist
at Talent Buddy, you will:
Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, behavioral, social and emotional functioning
Develop personalized intervention and therapy plans for children
Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches
Diagnose and support children with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, selective mutism, attachment disorders, etc.
Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, educators, ABA therapists and parents to implement integrated care
Maintain accurate records, progress reports and documentation
Educate and guide parents/caregivers on strategies for behavioral management and emotional support at home
Participate in awareness programs, workshops or talks for parents and the community (optional)
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (preferably with child or clinical psychology focus)
Registered with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia or relevant psychological body
Strong understanding of child development and child behavior
Excellent communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia and preferably Chinese or Iban
A warm, non-judgmental and child-centered personality
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience in working with children with special needs or neurodevelopmental disorders
Familiarity with psychological tools and behavioral assessments
Ability to develop age-appropriate therapy modules and implement play-based interventions
Capable of building trust and rapport with both children and their families
Strong observation, listening and analytical skills
Confidence in multidisciplinary teamwork
Working Hours
Flexible schedule based on client appointments
Full-time psychologists may work 5.5 days per week (negotiable)
Locum and internship placements available with customizable hours
