Key Responsibilities (Chinese Medicine Assistant)

Patient Care & Treatment Support

Assist Chinese Medicine practitioners in carrying out treatment procedures (e.g. acupuncture setup, cupping, tuina preparations, herbal consultation support) as instructed. Monitor and report patient reactions to treatments such as acupuncture, herbal intake, cupping marks, or tuina discomfort. Maintain accurate patient treatment records and handle patient information confidentially. Demonstrate professionalism, patience, kindness, and cultural respect toward all patients.

Equipment, Herbs & Safety Management

Assist with preparation and cleaning of equipment used for acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, tuina, electro-acupuncture, etc. Support the preparation, packing, dispensing, and proper storage of herbal medicine under practitioner supervision. Report faulty equipment, unsafe tools, or expired herbs, and ensure a clean, safe, and sterile working environment. Comply with safety and hygiene procedures (needle disposal, equipment sterilisation, herbal storage standards).

Service Delivery

Attend to patients promptly and assist with pre-consultation checks (e.g., body temperature, basic inquiries, consent form support). Follow treatment schedules, rosters, and clinic protocols strictly. Support reception/front desk duties when needed, including patient registration and appointment management.

Operational Support

Accurately record and process treatment charges, herbal sales, and therapy services. Handle all TCM equipment and herbs with care to minimise waste and cost. Ensure clinic cleanliness, equipment organisation, and smooth workflow during operations.

Team & Organizational Support

Support ICMC's and IMU Healthcare's vision, mission, and quality standards. Participate in quality assurance programs, reviews, and IMU events or initiatives. Assist the Manager and TCM practitioners with work-related matters when required.

Continuous Learning

Attend in-house TCM training sessions, clinical briefings, and CPD activities. Participate in relevant external courses to enhance knowledge in TCM therapies, herbal medicine, and patient care.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
