Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to be the application specialist and support of chromatography products in China and Asian region. The individual would assist dealers to demonstrate and train customers on targeted chromatography products, focusing on the Preparative HPLC, SFC and Mass Spec. This position will work directly with the regional sales manager, dealers and clients with the intent of successfully representing the Chromatography Product Line. This position will work in coordination with the existing Rep/Dealer organization and/or provide direct client support as determined by corporate management. This position, are managed jointly between the Global Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager.

Results Expected:

The Chromatography Product Specialist will be responsible for:

Meeting or exceeding annual product sales goals for the region.

Making good business decisions based upon a full understanding the strategic plan of the new product launch.

Growing sales, market share and brand recognition by making sales, marketing and technical presentations to clients.

Authoring or participating in the development and implementation of sales action plans designed to ensure achievement of marketing objectives and sales goals.

Communicate with various departments within Teledyne to coordinate fulfilling sales commitments to clients.

Providing quarterly analysis of sales and market trends.

Reporting monthly plans and goals to management.

Arranging technical support to key beta and reference clients.

Attending professional meetings, seminars and training sessions to further sales objectives of the Chromatography Product Line.

Traveling as needed, including internationally, to implement the success of the Chromatography Product Line.

Providing sales and technical assistance to Dealers as determined by the Regional Sales Manager.

Working in cooperation with Regional Sales Manager to ensure clear communications and the efficient management of business.

Developing an awareness and sensitivity to the social and business cultures of the various regions within which this position may work or communicate.

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A BS degree in chemistry or a scientific field and is required.
The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communications skills with customers and management.
This position requires an ability to interface with clients, manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s representatives and Teledyne\xe2\x80\x99s marketing and technical support, repair and customer service personnel.
In-depth knowledge of chromatography product under consideration is required, and ideally use of the Teledyne ISCO products in the lab.
At least 5 years of laboratory experience.
The candidate should be skilled in the application of computers.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Chromatography Product Specialist must be able to hear and respond verbally to questions posed by customers, representatives and dealers on the phone and in person.
They must have all the capabilities needed to drive an automobile and perform medium work in transporting products of up to 70 lbs. to and from customers\xe2\x80\x99 offices, field demonstrations and at exhibitions.
The person in this position must be able to read specifications to aid in the preparation of quotations to customers.
The candidate must be able to work efficiently from a home office if necessary.
