A leading personal care company is seeking a CI Engineer to be responsible for the overall process improvement of the production lines. In this job, you will report to the CI Manager.

About the CI Engineer Role:
In this position, you will be accountable for the overall process improvement and act as a support to the production department in achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysing and providing solutions on how to manufacture the products with maximum efficiency for each of the lines
• Developing and sustaining management control system to make operational, cost and planning analysis more efficient
• Working in growing field of improvement project management with cross functional team on driving project execution, following up key milestones and maintaining a considerable future cost saving pipeline
• Analysing top losses in the plant and drive the improvement opportunities
• Focusing entirely on the automated aspects of manufacturing processes, design manufacturing systems to optimise the use of technology, networks, robots, and simplified materials in order to get the processes or work done most efficiently
• Engaging in balancing many factors, such as time, number of workers needed, available technology, actions workers need to take, achieving the end products with no errors, workers\' safety, environmental concerns, and cost
• Assisting Lean and Six Sigma process deployment, training, mentoring and continuous improvement
• Facilitating timely discussions and review meetings for CI projects or assignments
• Identifying and following up with project owners on Capex requests and progress for profit enabling projects (CI saving)
• Managing and analysing the line performance metrics for developing improvement plan
• Deploying useful CI tools and programme (Structured Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, CI Ideation, Lean Six Sigma, AM/PM, etc.)
• Demonstrating practice of plant safety, quality, GMP and cleanliness as top priority

To be successful in this CI Engineer role, you must have prior continuous improvement experience within the FMCG manufacturing industry.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or field of study
• Five years of work experience in the FMCG manufacturing industry
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage
• Basic understanding of training cycle, training methodology and training system
• Basic understanding of manufacturing environment, structure and process, e.g. production lines, machinery and equipment set up and upkeep, operating process connection and importance of line performance
• Good understanding of KPIs, focusing on key objectives and delivering results that meet or exceed expectations
• Innovative mind set to develop new insights into organisation improving solutions
• Strong knowledge of analysis methods involving the measure of process capabilities
• Ability to interact and build relationships with all personnel, including those from other departments while motivating and inspiring team member
