Role: Cisco TAC Networking Support (Datacenter Networking) Mandatory Skills: Hands on experience on Datacenter Networking (Nexus 3000, 9300), UCS-B System/Other issues and Storage Networking. Hands on experience on SV (Server Virtualization), DCRS, DC Software, ACI and Storage. Knowledge on SWITCHING Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP,VLAN Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Cat 6500, 6800, 4500, 3850, Nexus 7K, Nexus 6k, Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K Experience supporting client servers (blades and rack systems) Strong good experience on Server/Storage experience providing high level technical support within a Server environment Knowledge of controllers, drivers and networking components Knowledge of ber channel operation and protocols. Experience installing drivers/updating drivers Expertise on UCS-B & C series, Storage, Network or Server O/S certications Knowledge of server OS Windows, VMware, Linux Experience within Ethernet and/or SAN environment Certied technical specialist in more than one area with a wide understanding of Networking technologies and Cisco products (this is a variable based on our requirement) In depth understanding of solving problems methodology and case management tools Experience & Education: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a trouble shooting / customer facing environment B.E/B.Sc. in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical or Computer Science CCNA, CCNP and/or CCIE (Data Center) (or equivalent certication) preferred Role: Cisco TAC Networking Support (Datacenter Networking) Must Have Skills: BS in a technical eld (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 6-8 years related experience. Deep knowledge of telecommunication systems and network environments. Ability to analyze, use and congure medium and large enterprise/SP networks. In-depth Knowledge of Routing Protocols BGP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, VLANs, VPC, Switching, IOS-XR, NXOS. CCIE and/or CCDE certication would be highly desired but not compulsory. Strong knowledge and understanding of the Cisco portfolio of oerings would be a plus. Ability to work independently, as this position only receives minimal supervision with no instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments. You are a trusted resource in the area of IOS-XR, IOS-XE, NXOS and its underlying platforms (ASR9000, Cisco 8000, NCS5500, CRS, NCS520, NCS540, & Nexus 3K,9K,5K, and 7K switches) and technologies (Routing & Switching protocols, BNG, ISG, Datacenter technologies and related capabilities). Data Center Layer 2 overlays for example VXLAN, EVPN Layer 2 security features for example port security, MACsec, ACL, private VLANs Layer 3 Overlay Protocols (OTV, LISP) Network management protocols for example PTP, NTP, DNS, DHCP Expert level knowledge in the areas of: IP internetworking, LAN Switching Protocols (MLS, CEF, Trunking (802.1Q), STP, HSRP, LACP/PAGP), IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) You can independently solve problems in broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed protocols in high end routing environments for our largest customers. You will provide support to engineers from multiple teams as well as the eld and aids them in problem resolution. You are able to work on complex and diverse problems where analysis requires imaginative and innovative troubleshooting. You act as a focal point for large account network problem resolution and provide technical leadership for Critical Accounts. You provide systems/product training in written and presentation form, such as chalk talks, web pages, white papers, Tech Zone and Cisco Support Community participation, Cisco Live, EBCs, etc. 8 years of technical experience in Service Provider and Data Center technologies Knowledge of large-scale Service provider network and Data Center Switch Fabric Architectures You eectively utilize lab setups to debug broad and complex problems and submit complete bug reports while monitoring reports of other engineers for quality. You provide input to Engineering and product organizations on future product development. You lead the creation of intellectual capital through written documents and machine consumable scripts and signatures that enables faster issue identication and resolution You will continuously develop up and coming talent within our service delivery teams. Build and maintain trust and relationships with customers and Cisco team members. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, executives, and Cisco customers.
