Support and provide input in developing strategies, goals, and objectives for civil project execution at all phases.
Oversee all civil project activities, site operations, manpower planning and resource utilization.
Identify required resources (materials, manpower, machinery) to implement project strategies and meet project milestones.
Develop and manage civil project plans, schedules, scopes of work and construction methodologies.
Lead the transition of civil works from design stage to construction stage, and from construction to project completion.
Manage project deliverables, quality compliance and resource allocation to ensure timely completion without compromising safety or standards.
Review and coordinate civil and structural drawings, method statements, technical specifications and construction documents.
Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, proposals and reports.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities and stakeholders to ensure approval, compliance and smooth project progress.
Monitor site works including earthworks, structural works, drainage, roadworks and other civil-related activities.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures on behalf of the company.
Ensure accurate, timely and relevant reporting of project progress and financial performance to stakeholders.
Review and verify contractor progress claims, invoices and variations.
Prepare, review and manage change orders, subcontracts, purchase agreements and procurement planning.
Maintain proper documentation including site reports, quality records, RFI, NCR and daily progress updates.
Ensure all works comply with safety regulations, QA/QC requirements and statutory guidelines.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a
Diploma/Degree/Master's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management
or other related fields.
Minimum
5 years of project experience
in civil construction, infrastructure, building works, utility works or related fields.
Strong understanding of
civil engineering standards, construction methodologies, authority requirements
and project contract terms.
Proficient in
AutoCAD, MS Office
, and scheduling software such as
Primavera P6
or MS Project.
Experience working with
main contractors, consultants, engineers, local authorities and clients
.
Experience in managing civil works such as structure, earthworks, roadworks, drainage, slope, utilities and infrastructure.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills with ability to manage site teams effectively.
Ability to travel or work at outstation project locations.
Able to communicate in
English, Malay
(Mandarin is an added advantage).
