to support the Construction Manager in overseeing and executing all on-site construction activities. This role involves coordinating resources, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and maintaining smooth communication with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Purpose
Support the
Construction / Project Manager
in project execution and represent the Company when required in official communications with the Client and stakeholders.
Understand and ensure compliance with
project scope, objectives, and contractual requirements
.
Assist in managing
project personnel matters
and resolving site-related construction issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Construction / Project Manager in executing projects in compliance with ITB requirements, ISO procedures, and company quality standards.
Plan and execute construction activities based on
approved drawings and documents
.
Study and assess constructability to ensure efficient execution of work.
Develop and maintain the
overall construction schedule
, identify critical activities, and monitor progress against targets.
Control and analyze project progress, taking corrective actions to prevent delays.
Assist in preparing
Material Requisitions (MR)
and managing bulk material requirements for site activities.
Forecast and coordinate
manpower, equipment, tools, and materials
needed for the project.
Track and record
productivity benchmarks
and analyze performance trends.
Prepare
costing and working budgets
for construction activities and obtain management approval.
Verify
progress claims, invoices, and payments
from consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
Review and understand all relevant documents including purchase orders, requisitions, and subcontract agreements.
Collaborate closely with
Engineering, Procurement, Project Control, and Commissioning
teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Lead and supervise teams of
project engineers, superintendents, and site supervisors
to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
.
Minimum
5 years' experience
in construction project execution.
Strong understanding of
project planning, scheduling, and cost control
.
Knowledge of
ISO procedures, construction standards, and quality management systems
.
Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office
and project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
