Job Description

1. Quality Assurance & Inspection

Inspect civil and structural works including earthworks, formwork, reinforcement, concrete casting, blockwork, plastering, and related activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications. Monitor workmanship and construction quality at all stages according to QMS requirements and industry standards. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections before, during, and after construction activities to verify conformity to design and specifications.

2. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain inspection reports, Request for Inspection (RFI) forms, site observation reports, and material approval records. Update and maintain records of test results including concrete cube compression tests, slump tests, soil compaction tests, and other QAQC data. Assist in compiling handover dossiers, as-built drawings/markups, and QA/QC documentation for client submission.

3. Testing & Verification

Witness and record results of on-site tests such as concrete slump tests, cube compression tests, rebar pull-out tests, and soil compaction tests. Coordinate with accredited third-party laboratories for material and field testing, and review test reports for compliance. Ensure correct procedures for curing, backfilling, compaction, and protection works are implemented according to standards.

4. Coordination & Compliance

Liaise with site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and QAQC teams to arrange inspections and address quality-related issues. Ensure all civil works comply with approved drawings, authority standards, QMS procedures, and client requirements. Identify and report non-conformities (NCR), initiate corrective actions, and follow up to ensure timely closure.

5. Ad-Hoc Tasks

Assist the QA/QC Engineer or QA/QC Manager in implementing the project's Quality Management System (QMS). Perform any other inspection, documentation, or quality-related tasks assigned by management.
