General Description The Hotel Housekeeping is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to hotel guests, in line with the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s vision and values on customer satisfaction. The main purposes of the hotel reception area\xe2\x80\x99s staff are respond courteously to guests requests, play a part in the general running of the reception desk and help the manager to maintain a smooth room booking service. Main Tasks Housekeeping Responsibilities and Duties \xef\x82\xb7To undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, to ensure a superb customer service experience. \xef\x82\xb7To build a good report with all guests and resolve any complaints/ issues quickly to maintain high quality customer service. \xef\x82\xb7To deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay. \xef\x82\xb7To assist in dealing with customer in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible. \xef\x82\xb7To assist in keeping the hotel reception area clean and tidy at all times. \xef\x82\xb7To report any maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems to the relevant hotel assistant and manager, if fail on duties management can rights to take action. \xef\x82\xb7To ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained throughout the hotel such as bedrooms/ corridors/ function rooms/ public areas and to manage the housekeeping and laundry department efficiently to maintain standards and control costs. \xef\x82\xb7Supervising the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards. This includes changing bed linen, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, vacuuming, mopping and dusting daily. Subject to levels of business the housekeeper be expected to also service rooms. \xef\x82\xb7Ensuring the upkeep of vacant rooms. \xef\x82\xb7Replenishing brochures and papers goods throughout the bedrooms / hotel \xef\x82\xb7Maintaining an orderly storeroom and trollies \xef\x82\xb7To ensure customer satisfaction is maintained by: \xef\x82\xb7Ensuring guest laundry is collected charged and returned to the guest in a speedy and accurate fashion. \xef\x82\xb7Ensuring guest property left behind is logged and stored in a secure location for lost property. \xef\x82\xb7Resolving any guest problems or complaints when possible and ensuring management are kept informed. \xef\x82\xb7Auctioning maintenance requests in order to comply when the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s established quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction. \xef\x82\xb7To set and maintain standards of service commensurate with the standing of the hotel: \xef\x82\xb7Manage stock control and ordering system to ensure availability of stock and cost control maintain costs to a minimum. \xef\x82\xb7Implementing the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s good customer relations policy addressing guests and colleagues at all times. \xef\x82\xb7To ensure department is operated within the legal framework by: \xef\x82\xb7Immediately reporting and documenting to management any observed to known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures. \xef\x82\xb7Carrying any other duties as may be reasonably required by management.
