Essential / Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies prospective institutional and ultra-high net worth clients, prepares presentations, follows up on client contacts, and closes the sales for unit trusts / asset management services.

Understands markets, Investments related process, products, strategies and designated client business and portfolio issues.

Rigorously follows up on leads provided by marketing / other departments/ team leader to achieve the above.

Identifies future growth opportunities (product solutions / clients / sectors) and feeds the same back to the management for speedy implementation.

Maintains existing client relationships and looks for ways and opportunities to grow existing business.

Provides back-up to other Client Portfolio Managers when necessary.

Provides guidance to junior staff (including joint sales call).

Assumes other duties as assigned by the management: Management reporting, Risk Reporting, operations process-related meetings, review/update of department manual, and others.

Working together with the support team to perform the following: preparation of proposals, presentation slides, letters (external), memos (internal), client reporting, Due Ds, work with Product Team on potential new funds, etc.

Job Specifications:

Qualifications

A degree in Marketing/ Finance or its equivalent.

Additional qualifications in investment management will be an added advantage.

Experience

At least 8 years of sales experience in financial products.

Experience in private or priority banking/ stock-broking house / institutional sales would be viewed positively.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

Good working knowledge of the competitive asset management and unit trust market.

Familiar with financial and capital markets and instruments.

Good analytical, problem solving and time management skills.

Strong in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Works independently and is a good team player.

Demonstrates business acumen, thinks and acts strategically.

Has good initiative and a high level of integrity.

Proactive, organised and resourceful.

Has good written and spoken skills in two languages: English and Malay.

Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications - MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel.
