Performs routine duties to ensure the smooth operation of the outpatient department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provision of Care
Provides safe and effective quality care to all patients in a manner that meets standard safety policy and nursing competencies.
Acts as chaperon whenever required.
Ensures smooth running of the assigned clinic as required.
Maintains cleanliness of clinic and all equipment adhering all policies including Infection Control Policies.
Assist patient in appointment scheduling
Update individual consultants census on daily basis
Make a reminder call along with reminder message to patient a day before to confirm the patient's appointment
Coordinate laboratory tests, specialist referrals, and/or diagnostic procedures; medication orders and etc. for patients
Answer telephone enquiries from patient and customers
Preparing patient Medical Record by obtaining personal and health information.
Maintaining patient data records for evaluation and health insurance purposes.
Guiding patients through the clinic's various facilities and procedures.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Quality Improvement and Risk Management
Observes and reports near miss, incidents, accidents, injuries and work-related illness.
Promotes care and upholds patient and family's right in relation to safety, privacy and confidentiality.
Adheres to accreditation standards.
Resource Management and Data Entry
Effective use of medical consumables / stationery in order to reduce wastage.
Effective stock management inventory as per departmental requirements to ensure adequate supply.
Performs accurate patient care charges.
Ensures proper documentation and data entry using hospital system.
Performs ad hoc task assigned by superior or management whenever required.
Customer Service
Collaborate effectively with other team members, doctors and other departments through professionalism, effective communication and good customer services.
Requirements
Minimum SPM pass all subject or diploma
Experience as clinic Assistant
