An exciting Cloud Engineer job has just become available at one of the leading organisations in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Cloud Engineer Role:
You will be responsible for any technological duties associated with cloud infrastructure services, including design, planning, management, maintenance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and be accountable for all patch management and products upgrade activities executed by the service provider to ensure all systems are current
• Identify the best practices of cloud architecture to support applications
• Orchestrate and automate cloud-based platforms throughout the organisation
• Communicate progress to senior management and work closely with IT teams to integrate existing structures into cloud-based systems
• Maintain the usage of cloud services and implement operational cost control strategies
• Raise and manage service requests and change requests to ensure completion of requests
• Participate in incident and problem management to review and identify the root cause of system incidences and provide resolutions to minimise unplanned system downtime

To succeed in this Cloud Engineer role, you will need to have technical abilities to perform the migration, as well as the ability to negotiate terms with vendors, ensure security of the data, and implement best practices throughout the process.

Key Requirements:

• Experience designing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant on cloud platforms
• Experience managing network-related, virtualisation, compute, data, or security requirements in accordance with company security guidelines on cloud platforms
• Managing and migrating on-premises workload and applications to the cloud
