The key responsibilities include understanding VDI services, ensuring security and compliance, establishing a DevOps release management pipeline, fostering a CI/CD mindset, implementing tooling and processes, troubleshooting automation issues, providing advisory support, managing projects, driving continuous improvement, and leveraging influencing and reasoning skills to promote collaboration and consensus building.

Key Responsibilities: * Understanding VDI Services: Possess a strong understanding of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) services available both on-premises and on public cloud platforms. Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in VDI technology.

• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all VDI solutions adhere to security and compliance controls, implementing necessary measures to protect sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Establishing DevOps Release Management Pipeline: Contribute to the establishment of an automated DevOps release management pipeline that encompasses the entire application development lifecycle, from development to production operations. This includes implementing tooling and processes to enable efficient and reliable software releases.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Foster a CI/CD mindset across development teams, promoting the continuous integration, testing, and delivery of software. Encourage the use of automation and streamline the release process.
• Tooling and Process Establishment: Lead the selection and implementation of appropriate DevOps Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, ensuring that development teams have the necessary tools and processes in place for automated release management. This includes automating the build process, environment setups, testing scripts, deployments, and operational metrics/debugging information.
• Automation Solutions and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and develop practical automation solutions and custom modules. Troubleshoot automation issues and provide timely solutions to keep projects on track.
• Automation and Tooling Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor for DevOps initiatives, providing objective, practical, and relevant insights and advice on automation and tooling strategies.
• Project Management: Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to ensure project objectives are achieved. Provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles and ensure deliverables are completed within set timeframes and meet high-quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvement in ALM processes and tools. Develop and own key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance against expected business outcomes.
• Influencing and Reasoning Skills: Utilize effective influencing and reasoning skills to resolve conflicts, build consensus, and drive collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Requirement:

• Minimum 1 year of experience with virtual desktop services like VMware Horizon View, Citrix XenDesktop, AWS Workspaces, Azure WVD, or similar services.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Terraform, PowerShell, PowerCLI, or similar.
• Familiarity with the Scrum Agile methodology and experience working on Scrum teams.
• Direct hands-on experience with DevOps and release management tools.
• Experience with continuous integration tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Bamboo, Jenkins, Microsoft TFS, or TeamCity.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with packaging programs such as MSI, RPM, or similar.
• Understanding of SQL and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and related concepts.
• Familiarity with best practices for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model.

• Certifications (Added advantage): VMware VCP or similar. AWS, Azure, or GCP entry-level certifications.

Education:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments
