Job Description

The Cloud System Engineer role is responsible for supporting the infrastructure and platform of Tungsten Automation, to ensure continuous operation, which meets or exceeds the agreed SLAs. The role is based on a 24/7/365 operation for monitoring our production services and acts as third line support to business users and second line support for internal technical teams.Candidates are expected to learn the Tungsten Automation\xe2\x80\x99s applications and infrastructure, to be able to perform troubleshooting and respond to managed service providers regarding alerts within our hosted environments.It is a full-time role, within the Cloud Services department, reporting to the Technology Manager. The ideal candidate would be an organized, practical and adaptable person with desire to grow and develop technical skills in a fast-growing global company.Responsibilities\xc2\xb7Understand Tungsten Automation applications and infrastructure and know how to utilize tools to investigate problems reported in each. Ability to use log aggregation tools such as Splunk/Logz.io or track errors through raw logs is key.\xc2\xb7Understand Tungsten Automation computing, storage, and network systems to respond to monitoring alerts from Production Services and resolve or direct questions to development groups for assistance in resolving possible bugs.\xc2\xb7Understand Amazon Web Services (Cloud Computing Services) and be able to perform basic troubleshooting when necessary.\xc2\xb7Act as second line support for internal technical teams on problem investigations for document processing and file transfer software.\xc2\xb7Act as third line of support for business users for client facing support teams on problem investigations for document processing and file transfer software.\xc2\xb7Act as the main person to maintain application that are running in mixed Windows and Unix/Linux environments. Perform housekeeping and develop custom script when required.\xc2\xb7Able to prioritize and manage several open issues at one time.\xc2\xb7Able to spot repetitive issue and suggest permanent solution by fixing the root issue.\xc2\xb7Identify problem areas with existing applications and create tool or custom script to streamline processes.\xc2\xb7Perform basic troubleshooting on network problems; escalating problems to managed service provider if needed.\xc2\xb7Participate in all training for any new release/product to production environments and ensure all documentation are available and able to provide support post training.\xc2\xb7Participate in paid weekend on-call rotation for key services in client facing environments.Required SkillsRequired Experience\xc2\xb71-3 years administrating Windows and Linux Production Environments\xc2\xb71-3 years exposure in Perl/Python/Bash/PowerShell/Javascript scripting\xc2\xb71-3 years of commercial experience as Level 2 support\xc2\xb71-3 years experience in SQL (queries and scripts); PL/SQL experience would be appreciated.\xc2\xb71-3 years hands-on experience in installing and configuring Logz.io and New Relic.\xc2\xb71-3 years administrating Windows and Linux Production Environments\xc2\xb71-3 years exposure in Perl/Python/Bash/PowerShell/Javascript scripting\xc2\xb71-3 years of commercial experience as Level 2 support\xc2\xb71-3 years experience in SQL (queries and scripts); PL/SQL experience would be appreciated.\xc2\xb71-3 years hands-on experience in installing and configuring Logz.io and New Relic.
