What will You be doing?
Guidewire is offering a 6-month Guidewire Basecamp internship program from February / March through July / August 2025, this program is designed to give active undergraduate college students, or those registered in a masters' program, an opportunity to work in a real-world business environment. Learn how to interact with customers, solve complex problems, and help support software that is used by some of the largest Insurance companies in the world.
You will experience tackling incoming customer support cases covering the entire Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP). You will develop knowledge in the GWCP and provide triage and troubleshooting support using our knowledgebase and continuous learning to restore the affected production system. You will work with the Product Development Operations (PDO) organization in a hybrid environment that delivers 24x7 service to customers who are using our software in the Guidewire Cloud.
Throughout your internship, you will :
Function as a point of contact to research, respond to, and accurately resolve cases in a timely manner and in accordance with team standards to ensure customer happiness!
Write case documentation to meet objectives for Case Quality and Customer Satisfaction scores.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on more sophisticated issues involving system integration and custom configurations.
Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of our platform through company-sponsored training and experience.
Contribute to an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolution activity, cross-training, and an absolute focus on doing what is best for the customer.
Involve in research and development of A.I tools to enhance system support process and customer experience.
Intern Requirements
Penultimate or final year of study in a bachelor's or master's degree studying Computer Science or equivalent I.T course.
Willingness to participate in Guidewire Basecamp Internship program activities and events.
Good communication skills and presentation skills. Read, write, and speak fluent English.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
Exposure to broad technical skills such as Object-Oriented Programming (Java, C#, or similar), relational databases, XML, and cloud architecture.
Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to think critically and display an aptitude for problem-solving.
Ability to solve problem software code and reporting progress.
Familiarity with version-control processes and standards. Experience using git or similar change-tracking software.
Experience using a software defect tracking system such as JIRA.
Skills to read and interpret application server log files.
Familiar with AWS, Docker, Linux, and Kubernetes. Knowledge of Bash scripts is a plus.
Familiar with CI/CD concepts and principles; Jenkins or TeamCity experience is a plus.
