Job Description




As the Cluster Director of Talent & Culture, you will be responsible for leading the talent management and cultural development strategies across three properties: Pullman Kuching, Pullman Miri Waterfront, and ibis Melaka. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment, promoting employee engagement, and ensuring the alignment of organizational culture with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interviews.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and forecast future talent requirements.
Employee Development and Training:
  • Design and execute training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Facilitate leadership development initiatives to nurture a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to managers and employees to support their professional growth.
Performance Management:
  • Implement performance management systems to set clear expectations and objectives.
  • Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and support managers in conducting performance evaluations.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and career development.
Employee Engagement and Culture Building:
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that reflects the values and vision of the organization.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, team-building activities, and communication channels.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive work environment.
HR Policy and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies across all properties.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures as necessary to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with property leadership teams to align talent and culture initiatives with business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including vendors, industry organizations, and educational institutions.
  • Represent the organization in HR-related forums and events.
Work Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master\'s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of talent management practices, including recruitment, performance management, and employee development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change and foster a positive work culture.
