To operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and ensure accurate dimensional inspection of parts according to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. CMM Operation & Measurement
Operate CMM machines to perform dimensional inspections.
Run inspection programs based on product drawings, GD&T, and customer requirements.
Measure first article, in-process, and final products.
Verify accuracy of critical dimensions and tolerances.
B. Programming & Setup
(optional based on skill level)
Create or edit basic CMM programs using relevant software (PC-DMIS, CALYPSO, MCOSMOS, etc.).- preferred
Set up fixtures, probes, and tools before inspection.
C. Reporting & Documentation
Record measurement results and prepare inspection reports.
Maintain measurement data in system (Excel, QMS, ERP).
Report any non-conformance immediately to QA Engineer/Production.
D. Calibration & Machine Care
Ensure CMM machine is calibrated and maintained in good working condition.
Perform routine checks and maintain a clean, temperature-controlled environment.
E. Quality & Compliance
Ensure inspections comply with ISO 9001 / customer-specific standards.
Support internal and external audits.
Follow company safety, 5S, and quality procedures.
3. RequirementsEducation
SPM / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, or related field.
Experience
1-3 years working experience as CMM Operator or Quality Inspector.
Fresh graduates with basic measurement knowledge may be considered.
Technical Skills
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Understanding of GD&T.
Experience with CMM machines and manual measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauge).
Able to use CMM software
