Requirements

• SPM/Malaysian Skill Certification-IKM/ILP/ or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in milling / turning.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD & T).

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints and set up machines in accordance with the blueprint.
• Ability to perform machine setup, tool changes, and offsets adjustments.
• Skilled in using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Able to observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.
• Ability to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes.
• Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• To ensure the tooling's used to perform day to day operations are in good conditions.
• Carry out safety and maintenance measures and regulations to ensure the good condition of machines and tools.
• Able to modify CNC program and parameters to meet specification in machining drawing.
• Knowledge in Mastercam will be added advantage.
