Job Desription:
 
-Set up and operate 3-axis CNC router (milling) machines according to procedures, programs and engineering drawings to manufacture machined parts efficiently and to specifications.
-Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
-Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.
-Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
-Change cutting tools and adjust machines feed and speeds as needed.
-Setup, operate and maintains measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for inspection.
-Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
-Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
-Plan and analyse to complete fabrication work according to production schedule.
-Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of work area at all time.
-Responsible for material wastage control, manufacturing cost reduction and compliance with safety requirements.
-Identify roots cause and corrective action to resolve production process and quality issues.
-Use prescribed procedures to inspect parts produced to assure compliance with specification and quality requirements that will eliminate defects, scrap and rework.
-Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition daily, report defective machine, equipment, material and/or faulty operations to management.
-All others responsibilities as dedicated by superior from time to time.
