We are looking for a detailed oriented individual who will be part of our team that will be working closely with our suppliers in North America.


Job Summary
Analyze fabric requirements and place purchase orders with suppliers in North America. Plans the sequenced production and delivery of fabric.



Main Responsibilities:
  • Use SAP system for the Order Management and database maintenance processes.
  • Analyze material requirements and place Purchase Order with suppliers in North America
  • Plan the sequenced production and delivery of material to ensure meeting the requested delivery date.
  • Communicate and update the order status such as changes, cancellations, delivery deadlines and all pertinent information regarding the order.
  • Expedite orders where necessary to meet customer\xe2\x80\x99s demand, schedule deadline or department priorities.
  • Acts as primary liaison between supplier and Steelcase for material purchasing.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned by the management.



Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficient in MS-Excel
  • Have SAP knowledge or experience in SD & MM modules and SAP scripting.
  • Strong ability to analyze, conceptualizes, and logically organizes database information with high degree of precision and accuracy.
  • Ability to comprehend the context of the data in Steelcase business processes and systems (primarily SAP), and provide feedback and recommendations on how best to deliver requestor\xe2\x80\x99s needs.
  • Requires a working knowledge of the material purchasing function and overall manufacturing processes.
  • Good analytical, planning and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated customer service passion and a willingness to go extra mile
  • Ability to work well under pressure meeting scheduled deadlines and make good business decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively through email with suppliers and all levels of internal/external customers.
  • Good written and verbal English communications skills with strong team focus and results driven
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.



Education & Experience:
Degree or Diploma in any fields or equivalent work experience in order management/ order processing.
3-4 years\' experience in related field
