Job Description

As a Commercial Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the success of the balloon manufacturing operations. You will lead and oversee various critical functions related to customer-facing operations, project management, sales, marketing, procurement, and sourcing.

Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 14 staff, including 2 Assistant Managers, ensuring productivity, adherence to company standards, and professional development.

Customer-Facing Operations:

• Oversee quoting, sampling, order processing, and issuance of invoices and shipping documents.
• Manage project management activities, including new product development processes, specifications, packaging, and testing parameters.
• Coordinate sales and marketing efforts such as trade fairs, promotional materials, and website updates.
• Arrange shipping logistics, including bookings and coordination with carriers.

Customer Relations:

• Communicate effectively with customers, including presentations and meetings, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
• Liaise with other departments and suppliers as needed to ensure smooth operations and seamless customer experiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated and efficient operations.

Procurement and Sourcing Management:

• Lead a team of two, including an Assistant Manager, for purchasing and sourcing activities.
• Oversee procurement of over 2000 spare parts, chemicals, pigments, contractors, party accessories, packaging, waste disposal, and more.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to optimize procurement processes.

UK Based Manufacturer |Collaborative Culture

• Bachelor\'s degree in any related studies.
• 5-8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in team leadership and project management.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in English, with a focus on consumer products and European retailers and businesses.
• Proactive with a "can do" mindset, able to lead and project manage key stakeholders in processes.
• Comfortable with systems such as ERP and Maintenance.
• Knowledge of local manufacturers, products, manufacturing processes, and costing to support effective purchasing and sourcing activities.
• Ability to liaise with government bodies and government-linked entities like utilities.
