Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in accordance with hotel standards.
Maintain high levels of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in all kitchen areas.
Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and within the required time frame.
Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Check ingredients for freshness, quality, and proper storage.
Follow portion control guidelines and minimize food wastage.
Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, HACCP, and safety procedures.
Contribute to new dish ideas, menu planning, and improvement of preparation methods.
Maintain positive teamwork and communication within the culinary team.
Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant.
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and various cooking methods.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts is an added advantage.
