to join our central kitchen team. The role involves assisting in the daily preparation and production of bakery items such as breads, rolls, croissants, pastries, and other baked goods in accordance with standardized recipes and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, mixing, shaping, and baking of a variety of breads, viennoiseries, and basic pastries.
Follow production schedules and instructions provided by senior chefs or supervisors.
Ensure proper portioning and consistency of products according to recipes and production standards.
Prepare ingredients (measuring, sifting, weighing) and assist in scaling batches for mass production.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the preparation areas, equipment, and tools according to food safety standards (HACCP or equivalent).
Store raw materials and finished products properly to avoid spoilage and contamination.
Assist in packing and labeling baked goods for dispatch to various outlets or clients.
Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
Support in inventory checks and receiving of bakery supplies and ingredients.
Work cooperatively with the bakery team to ensure smooth production flow and timely output.
Requirements:
Basic understanding of bakery or pastry production processes.
Relevant culinary certificate or diploma (preferred, but not mandatory with experience).
Previous experience in a bakery, central kitchen, or similar food production environment is an advantage.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.
Good attention to detail and hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of different types of doughs and basic baking techniques.
Exposure to high-volume food production.
Familiarity with bakery machinery such as dough mixers, proofers, and ovens.
