Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, this role includes the following responsibilities.
Executing the opening and/or closing procedures to ensure the kitchen is ready for service.
Assist the chef lead in the daily ingredient ordering and ensuring that the ingredients received are up to standard and quantity.
Ensure the necessary mise en place is completed for a smooth service
Consistent food preparation and maintaining the dish standards to build a consistent reputation. This includes serving the right dish to the right order
Ensure the hygiene and maintenance of the kitchen as well as the related equipment especially since this is a show kitchen.
Stay in touch with the latest food trends or innovations and sharing them with colleagues and customers to effectively engage with them
Participate in menu item ideation for seasonal promotions
