To assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food under the supervision of senior kitchen staff. The Commis Kitchen plays a key role in maintaining high food quality, hygiene, and safety standards while supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking
Assist chefs in the preparation of ingredients (cutting, chopping, marinating, portioning, etc.).
Cook and plate dishes according to recipes and instructions.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all food items.
2. Hygiene & Food Safety
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations at all times.
Follow food hygiene and safety standards .
Properly store and label ingredients to prevent contamination and spoilage.
Adhere to waste management and portion control procedures.
3. Kitchen Operations Support
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing raw materials and ingredients.
Ensure all kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
4. Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with senior chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Support colleagues during peak hours to ensure timely food service.
Communicate any shortages or quality issues to the Chef de Partie or Supervisor.
5. Continuous Learning & Development
Learn and practice new cooking techniques and recipes as guided by senior chefs.
Participate in kitchen briefings, meetings, and training sessions.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
