Located at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city center, Traders Hotel by Shangri-La is looking for a dynamic, and multi-skilled talent in delivering our Asian hospitality.

As Commis we rely on you:

  • To be responsible for the preparation and storage of menu items in accordance with established procedures for preparation and quality standards for taste, presentation, and hygiene standards of the hotel.
  • prepares all food items and food orders, ensuring standard preparation timeframes are observed for consistency.
  • Follows standard procedures at all times; is subject to manager instruction where deviations are implemented that might affect hygiene, quality, taste, and presentation standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum SPM level Education or relevant certificate.
  • Experienced in All Day Dining Kitchen or Main Kitchen Operation with minimum 1 - 3 years\' experience.
  • Experienced in Western Kitchen or Asian Kitchen.
  • Able to converse and understand basic English language.
  • Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
