Requirements
Possess a Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field, providing a solid foundation in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Demonstrate proficiency in basic cooking skills, including knife handling, sauce preparation, and cooking methods such as grilling, sauteing, and baking.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict hygiene standards and food safety regulations to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, including chefs and other commis, to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating products, and informing the chef of any shortages or discrepancies.
Be willing to learn and adapt to new recipes, techniques, and kitchen procedures, demonstrating a proactive approach to professional development.
Maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of food items according to standard recipes and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items to prevent spoilage and waste.
