Job Description


Job Brief:

He is fully committed to the task given by the outlet\xe2\x80\x99s kitchen or section. Responsible for producing and coordinating in the daily cooking and preparation of all cold or hot food and related works of the section where he assigned. He is employed for the food preparation department and as such he may be assigned to any area that the management deems suitable and necessary.

:

1. To complete the daily duty and to mention all relevant information\xe2\x80\x99s of the daily working operation of the day.

2. Always greet with a smile, all guests, colleagues and any other visitors of the SCAPES Hotel, be it at the back or front of the house.

3. To have pride of self-personal appearance for personal hygiene and uniform.

4. To lead the staff\xe2\x80\x99s attitude through personal behavior, always lead by example.

5. To constantly be physically involved in all phase of daily operation requirements.

6. To constantly check quality and quantity of raw food items needed for the daily mis-en-place in his respective area.

7. To coordinate and assist in other outlets when required.

8. To report on duty punctually, wearing the uniform complete, clean and with Name Tag

9. To insist on uniform visual appearance of all dishes prepared. Presentation and decoration must follow the established standards.

10. To always check every buffet set up and liaisons with his direct subordinates for correct timing during service. To make sure that food served is always up to the highest standard.

11. To constantly checks the quality and freshness of the food prepared with regards to taste and flavor.

12. To monitor and fully implement the portion control established with the recipe cards and the butcher test to minimize waste and spoilage.

13. To check stores and refrigerators and is responsible for the proper storing and recycling of leftovers.

14. To work closely with the receiving and store personnel, to ensure that received goods are of the highest quality required. He is constantly alert on freshness, standards and new products.

15. He is responsible for the hygiene and cleanliness of all working areas under his supervision including corridors.

16. Responsible to instruct the correct use of utensils and equipment\xe2\x80\x99s which they are designed for, take corrective actions if otherwise or misused.

17. Check\xe2\x80\x99s all machinery to ensure a proper maintenance, working condition and elimination of safety hazards. Make maintenance and repair orders and follow up on progress.

18. To make sure all kitchen employees under his direct or indirect supervision are following the convention center personal hygiene and grooming guidelines as specified.

19. To reflect the SCAPES Hotel philosophy by providing a high quality of service to our customers by always adopting a positive attitude.

Job Requirement:

  • Candidate should possess a Primary / Secondary School, Professional Certificates, Diploma / Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality / Tourism / Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Services Management
  • Preferably at least 2 years of related working experience.
  • Preferably Intern specializing in F&B / Tourism / Hospitality or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills in English, Malay language for both spoken and written
  • 1 Full-time/Permanent positions available
