Borneo And Beyond Sdn Bhd is a mechanical subcontractor specialising in Fire Suppression, ACMV, and System Integration for mission-critical facilities at industrial plants.

We are seeking Commissioning Engineers to execute and verify mechanical and control systems to

EPC-level performance and documentation standards

, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with

BOMBA, NFPA, MS and relevant local building by-laws (UBBL, where applicable)

You will work closely with the company's management and site teams to validate logic sequences, document test results, and raise the overall standard of commissioning practices across our projects.

Key Responsibilities

Perform testing & commissioning (T&C) of fire suppression, fire detection, and ACMV systems. Verify Cause & Effect (C&E) logic and mechanical/electrical interlocks during pre-commissioning and final handover. Prepare test scripts, QA/QC checklists, verification reports, and as-built documentation for BOMBA readiness. Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and client representatives during integrated system testing. Uphold HSE procedures and site permit requirements throughout all commissioning activities. Contribute to internal technical knowledge sessions to align team practices with EPC-grade standards.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or M&E Engineering (or equivalent). 5+ years hands-on experience in commissioning, QA/QC, or maintenance of fire protection / ACMV systems. Working knowledge of NFPA, MS, and UBBL (BOMBA) requirements. Able to interpret wiring diagrams, logic flow charts, and C&E matrices. Strong technical reporting and communication skills (English & Bahasa Malaysia). Possess own transport; willing to travel for site assignments and after-hours testing when required. Experience with EPC or consultant documentation standards is an advantage but not required.
