Position Overview:

Dterm (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and hands-on

Commissioning Engineer

for commissioning of a new

oat/rice milk beverage plant

in Malaysia. This position is pivotal in leading equipment/system readiness and qualifications, ensuring seamless integration across all disciplines, and guiding the project from installation to operational startup. The selected candidate will be engaged on a

contract basis

, with potential for extension based on project status and performance. The role requires on-site presence in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and other APAC countries.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute commissioning work including pre-commissioning, startup, and handover of all process, packaging, and utility systems. Collaborate closely with

contractors, suppliers, customers, engineering teams, and automation specialists

to ensure seamless system integration and startup readiness. Manage and execute

Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ)

protocols with input from contractors, engineering teams, and customers. Coordinate the testing and verification of UHT systems, CIP, aseptic processing, homogenization units, and other key equipment. Review commissioning plans, SOPs, and FAT/SAT reports. Resolve technical issues, punch-list clearance, and readiness verification. Ensure all systems meet

GMP, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory

requirements. Support operator training and documentation during the handover phase. Report progress, risks, and corrective actions to the Project Manager on a regular basis.

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Food Engineering (or equivalent industry experience). Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food & beverage plant commissioning, preferably involving oat/rice or dairy-based beverages. Demonstrated experience leading IQ, OQ, PQ activities in coordination with stakeholders. Solid understanding of UHT, CIP, aseptic filling, utilities, and automation/control systems (PLC/SCADA). Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Strong leadership, coordination, and troubleshooting abilities. Willingness and availability to

be on-site in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and other APAC countries.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
