Job Description

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in compliance with accounting principles. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections. Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these plans. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making by the management team. Assist in the coordination of external audits and ensure all necessary documentation is provided to auditors. Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting cash needs and optimising cash positions. Review and control expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Ensuring Next Energy PO/PR excel are updated on a timely basis, standardise the naming of all incoming quotations / invoices and compilation of all related documents in the prepared folders. Fresh graduates are highly welcomed. Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred. Strong time management skills, able to prioritise and meet critical deadlines. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Good attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. English Speaking (Other languages will be advantageous). Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with relevant regulations and permitting processes. Knowledge of renewable energy or sustainability practices is a plus. Experience using Quickbooks Online is a plus.
