The Compensation & Benefits Specialist designs, develops, implements and manages salary, bonus and benefits packages for the employees of an organization. He /she assesses personnel needs and drafts targeted initiatives that will increase performance, organizational trust and satisfaction. He /she is a strong guardian of company values and principles. The C&B Specialist monitors the job market, the modern trends in the compensation and finds the best practice for the implementation in the organization without the major impact on the personnel expenses costs.
Scope: Country Malaysia (Penang Automotive, Alor Setar Tires, PJ, Tires, Seremban Contitech), round 3200 employees. Indonesia Tires and Automotive
Your tasks will be:
- Define Wage and salary increase and report to Corporate
- Annual Salary Review: Prepare salary tables in cooperation with Corporate Compensation and Benefit, ensure process and consolidate for locations (incl. Indonesia)
- Variable Compensation: provide forecast figures to Finance/Controlling, Align on eligibility of VC Models to different employee groups, provide vc sheets for lower grades, consolidate data and
- Review compensation and benefits programs/ policies/ procedures and their effectiveness in adminstration and alignment with established HR policies. Ensure country harmonization and best practice (examples MY: car policy, travel policy, foreign local hire guideline, signatures of contracts, update of employment contracts, allowance review in preparation of CA, long term service awards, medical insurance, reward and recognition guideline, phone allawance...)
- Participates in salary and labour market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
- Defines a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation package that fits and is aligned to our company\'s strategy, business goals and Corporate values, considering Compensation Policies and Programs & Market Benchmarking, Policies & Programs
- Ensures that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc)
- Conducts ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices
- Ensure job analysis and evaluation on country comparison and on Corporate/divisional/BU comparison
- Harmonize Grading structures and ensure conti applied standard evaluations
- Intranet Update for PJ location
- Leads and participate in Country HR Projects (e.g. Retention, Medical service)
- C&B Country Representative in corporate HR projects which requires a country approach (SAP Data Maintenance/GHR , Lean HR Operations, SWP-functional areas/job families, future work etc)
- Train HR Business Partners and line managers in the compensation area
- Supports the organization regarding related HR IT Systems: local IT applications (eleave, eclaim), HR Process Management; Internal Administrative Tasks;
- Actively supports retention management actions, such as compensation strategy
- Builds and maintains the positive and influencing relationship with management

- Compensation & Benefits (job evaluation and job analysis systems, labour market surveys, current labour rules and regulations, various types of incentives and benefits, analytical skills)

- Systems and Processes: Solid understanding of Key processes and tools that drive local and central organization (Project and Change Management Tool, etc.).
- Project management: Solid understanding of project management knowledge (as project member / leader).
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of relevant business models, products and industry.
- Organizational Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant structures of the local and central organization. Deep knowledge and understanding of local networks and target groups (blue/white collar).
- HR Processes: Deep understanding of human relations processes that drive people performance, planning, remuneration, labour relations/legislation and location communication. Know how to steer local HR Organization including Service Centers (Payroll etc). Financial Management and Budgeting
- Has successfully managed challenging conditions: Has demonstrated tenacity / persistence.
- Proven working experience as a compensation and benefits specialist; prior experience in HR practices and compensation cycle management;
- Has gained insight into different departments / functions / BUs (through projects or assignments). Has (ideally) 5 years experience in the relevant function.
