Job Summary:

The

Wireman PW4

is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment within the facility. The role ensures all electrical work complies with the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) requirements, JKR standards, and safety regulations. The Wireman PW4 will support the Facility Engineer and Chargeman in maintaining reliable power distribution and electrical safety throughout the building.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform electrical wiring installation, maintenance, and repair work for lighting, power, and control systems in compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and JKR standards. Assist in inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical circuits, panels, and equipment. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including switchboards, distribution boards, and motors. Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently. Support the Chargeman and Facility Engineer during breakdowns, shutdowns, or power failures. Record maintenance activities, energy consumption, and inspection findings accurately in logbooks or reports. Ensure proper tagging, isolation, and safety measures before performing electrical work. Participate in regular safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and emergency response exercises. Liaise with the Facility Manager and site team for scheduling electrical maintenance or rectification work. Report any irregularities or potential electrical hazards immediately to the supervisor. Maintain tools, equipment, and electrical materials in good working condition. Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations at the worksite.

Certified as a PW4 Competent Electrical Wireman

. Minimum

3 years of working experience

in electrical installation and maintenance. Sound knowledge of electrical systems, components, and tools. Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and statutory regulations. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation. Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physically fit, disciplined, and responsible. Experience in facilities management, industrial, or commercial building maintenance. Knowledge of energy-saving practices and green technology.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
